Reza Khabbaz

Reza Khabbaz (b. 1987) is an Iranian filmmaker, playwright, and critic with a multidisciplinary career spanning stage, screen, and journalism. A graduate of the Free Theatre School (2012), he directed four original plays—Four Boxes, Temporary Matter, Nothing to Know, and Trachem—earning early acclaim in Iranian theater.
His play Temporary Matter won the Best Radio Play at the 18th Iran University Theatre Festival. Beyond theater, Reza has contributed film criticism to prominent media outlets in Iran.
In 2024, his short film, PIPES, was selected for the FFTG Awards Film Fest and received:
