Mikheil Gabaidze (Georgia) is a theatre and film creator with a career across stage, broadcast, and cinema. He holds a degree from the Batumi State Art Institute in TV-Radio Journalism and Cinematography and a Master’s in Feature Film Directing from the Batumi University of Arts. Since 2008, he has led marketing and public relations at the Batumi Ilia Chavchavadze Professional State Drama Theatre and serves as Chairman of Art Laboratory and Art Portal.

Since 2014, he has produced and hosted Ethnofor on Adjara Public Broadcasting Television and Radio, covering Georgian cultural heritage. His directorial debut, Vasomotor Rhinitis (2024), an adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Death of a Civil Servant, won the FFTG Spirit Award, received 35 international awards, and was screened at over 80 festivals worldwide, including the San Diego Short Film Festival and Indie Short Fest.

In addition to his film and broadcast work, Gabaidze is PR Manager for the Batumi International Theatre Festival, logistics coordinator for the Batumi International Art-house Film Festival, and founder of the First Autograph Festival for youth and school theatre groups.

Gabaidze was invited to join We, The Chosen One’s™, the Grand Jury of the FFTG Awards Film Fest 2025, where he brings his background in arts leadership, programming, and festival curation to help evaluate and select this year’s official lineup.
