Synopsis

‘I Stand Proud’ is a spoken word piece that encourages black students and people to stand out freely for who they are, whenever they appear to be the minority in an institution.

This piece was originally part of a theatre performance I created at university called FUSE. The performance explored and celebrated race and identity between three women of different races, through: theatre, spoken word, music, and dance.
