Born in 2020 during a moment of global pause, the fest was not a pivot to digital, but was engineered from the ground up with a Native Digital Architecture. We bypass geographic silos to provide storytellers a professional global existence and the platform to showcase and brand their work for a synchronized international audience.

• Peer-Led Evaluation (WTCO®): Our program is governed by We, The Chosen Ones®—an elite jury of 6 to 9 members curated from over 100 eligible alumni filmmakers every year. Every film and screenplay is watched or read in its entirety.

• Positioning as Strategy: We respect the filmmaker as the primary strategist. Whether you are a student “upping your game” to the pro tiers or a documentary maker branding your work as a narrative cinematic experience, your chosen category is where you compete.

• Integrated Talent Accolades: A single submission provides total evaluation for both the film and all individual craft awards (Directing, Acting, etc.) with no separate talent categories or extra fees.

• Permanent Professional Footprint: Every Official Selection receives a dedicated page on fftgawards.com featuring trailers and filmmaker highlights, ensuring visibility far beyond the fest window.
