She came up in newsrooms. A journalist first, and that nose for the real story never left her. It just found a bigger screen. She is now one of the voices behind some of India’s most talked about series and films: Aarya, Grahan, Scoop, Mrs., Delhi Crime S3, Alma Matters. Writer, director, producer. Her film Selfie, Please cuts close. A younger sister competes with her older sister, who has Down Syndrome, for their mother’s love. One small mishap, and a “perfectly normal” family starts to come apart. At our 5th Edition it took a Grand Jury Choice win and a wall of nominations, six recognitions in one edition. Then it kept traveling: Best Director, Best Short, Best Writer, festival after festival, country after country. She has lived the journey. Now she sees, and decides who moves. Tap through.
